Driver's Education Program 2017/2018 School Year

Driver's Education Program Info. 2017/2018 school year:

Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting will be held on May 15th at 5:00 in the PHS cafeteria. Students must have their VT Driver's Permit by July 30th in order to attend.

Drivers Education Classes will begin on Monday, July 30th and run through August 17th.  (Monday-Friday from 8am-10am)  This is for the classroom instruction and it is mandatory that students attend all these classes.  Driving will begin on day one and will continue through September, if needed, so all students meet the required driving hours.  

There is enough room for 25 students to attend. Preference will be given to PHS student's first and any empty slots will be allotted on a first come/ first serve basis.  For non PHS students, please call to check on the cost of the program and availability.  Please call Kim or Kathy at 459-3353.

VTeen 4-H Science Pathways Cafe

Registration is now open for the VTeen 4-H Science Pathways Cafe on Saturday, Feb 3 at the University of Vermont. The topic of this cafe will be Astrobiology. This event is FREE and open to all youth in grades 7-12. Free pizza and soda will also be provided.  See attached flyer for more information.

JR High Basketball Changes This week 1/8/18

There has been a change made to both Jr High Dates this week.  There was a small mix up, Benson and Castleton had the games scheduled at 4:30/5:30 PM, so the bus will need to leave 30 minutes earlier.

Jr High @ Benson 4:30 Girls /5:30 Boys (3:15 Bus)

Jr High @ Castleton 4:30 Girls / 5:30 Boys (3:30 Bus)

Benson is 32 School Street in Benson
Castleton is 47 Mechanic Street in Castleton

Upcoming Game Changes due to Cancellations

Hey everyone, so here are all the changes that have been made with all the cancellations the last few days.

Thursday, Jan 25th will be a Varsity Double Header at Proctor:
Varsity Men - *Long Trail vs Proctor 5:30 PM
Varsity Ladies - West Rutland vs Proctor 7:00 PM

Saturday, Jan 27th at Proctor:
Varsity Ladies - Woodstock vs Proctor 1:00 PM

All Basketball Canceled 01/4/18

All Basketball is cancelled for today!

That means no Jr High games vs Middlebury and no practices.

Recent Changes to Basketball Games 1/3/18

I just wanted to make everyone aware of some recent changes made today:

Jan 11th, BR games will now be played at Proctor:
Varsity Ladies vs Black River 5:30 PM
Varsity Men vs Black River 7:00 PM

Jan 22nd, Arlington game now at Proctor, JH games moved up an hour:
Varsity Ladies vs Arlington at 7:00 PM
Jr High Boys vs West Rutland 5:00 PM
Jr High Girls vs West Rutland 4:00 PM

Both schools are dealing with Gym problems due to weather.

We will switch some practices around to accommodate the Jr High teams.

At PES Today:
3:00-4:00 - Jr High Boys
4:00-5:00 - Jr High Girls
5:00-6:00 - PES Girls
6:00-7:00 - PES Boys

PHS Snow Sculpture Contest sponsored by Proctor Gas and Keyser Energy
Gather your class, put on your gloves and work as a team to create an awesome snow sculpture with a Winter Wonderland theme.  Cash prize for the top three classes. 
December 30th in the Proctor Park.  Begin sculpting at 9 a.m. Judging at noon.  The entire community is invited to watch and enjoy free hot chocolate at the Proctor Fire Department.
